As the UN’s principal body for the promotion and protection of human rights around the globe, the UNHRC plays a crucial role in responding to violations of fundamental freedoms. Yet, when state actors become the violators, the Council must rise beyond statements and engage in meaningful accountability. At AAMUN'25, this committee will challenge delegates to navigate the fine line between diplomacy and duty, and confront what happens when institutions with the mandate to act, hesitate.
